This year's ecumenical Christmas celebration will take place on Friday 9 December at 7 p.m. in Christ Church, Rathgar.  Refreshments and mince pies afterwards as usual in the Lecture Hall.  This event is always great fun, and witnesses to the joy and unity of local Christians at this most joyous season.  We expect the Rathfarnham Concert Band  Society  Intermediate Band to take part and to hear from our own youth band, and to meet some of our Romanian friends.  Please come and support and enjoy the occasion, organised by the ...

Recovery Self Help Method Ireland Local Meetings, every Tuesday 8pm.

Recovery Self Help Method Ireland, is a HSE funded mental health charity which holds meetings every Tuesday evening at 8pm in the Parish Centre, 52 Grosvenor Road, Rathgar. The meetings are there to help anyone suffering from mental health issues like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or OCD. There are no fees and no registration required, you just come along and join in. Bulky Household Waste Collection Service

Dublin City Council is now offering an online Bulky Household Waste Collection Service to all households in its administrative area with effect from 16th May 2016. The bulky waste collection is for items that are too large to be accepted by the regular waste collection service e.g. furniture, carpets, bikes and kitchen & bathroom units. We came across an interesting section of the The prevention of litter act 1997 (full copy of the bye-law linked to below) which places an onus on owners of private property to maintain a clean and clear area free of litter. We draw your attention specifically to Section 3 of part 2 of the act which requires the owner or occupier of a property which has an outdoor area visible from a public place to keep such an area free of litter.
