Rathgar Meals on Wheels urgently requires Volunteers.  Please contact John McCarthy on 087 241 3419 if you are interested in becoming a volunteer. Rathgar Meals on Wheels is a voluntary organisation based in Rathgar. The organisation provides lunch three days a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays). Meals are cooked in Christ Church in Rathgar and distributed from there to the locality. If you have time on your hands and can help, please do get in touch.

The Superquinn logo over the Rathgar shop has now disappeared and has been replaced by Supervalu as part of Supervalu's overall rebranding process since their purchase of Superquinn in August 2013.  The Irish Times story found here references the Supervalu in Rathgar.

The date of the local elections has been set for 23rd May 2014. This coincides with the holding of the European election. The new electoral area (of which Rathgar is a part) will include Terenure to Morehampton Road. A total of 6 councillors will be elected. More information can be found here.
