Dublin City Council is now offering an online Bulky Household Waste Collection Service to all households in its administrative area with effect from 16th May 2016. The bulky waste collection is for items that are too large to be accepted by the regular waste collection service e.g. furniture, carpets, bikes and kitchen & bathroom units. Residents will be able to request this service via the Dublin City Council website and customer services centre. There will be a Public Meeting on Thursday 14th July at 7.30pm in the Dodder Room of The Dropping Well bar and restaurant to get feedback from local residents on the preliminary designs for the Dodder Greenway which will be published shortly. All are warmly invited.

What is Log On To Learn IT or computer literacy is often an issue for Older People who may not have had the opportunity to learn how to use a computer or discover the Internet. One effect of the widening of the digital divide is the exclusion of Older People from many aspects of modern life, due to their lack of basic computer skills. Stratford College's latest initiative in their literacy campaign is Log On to Learn, an initiative bringing Transition Year students and Older People together to share computer and life skills.  ...
